Description

Neon Tetra Paracheirodon Innesi

Overview: The Neon Tetra, a shimmering jewel of the aquarium world, boasts vibrant neon blue and red stripes that captivate enthusiasts. Its peaceful demeanor and stunning appearance make it a cherished addition to any community tank.

Origin: Originating from the rivers of South America, specifically the blackwater tributaries of the Amazon basin, these tetras thrive in soft, acidic waters with dense vegetation.

Feeding: Omnivorous by nature, Neon Tetras readily accept high-quality flake foods, supplemented with live or frozen fare like bloodworms, daphnia, and brine shrimp. Their diet benefits from variety.

Tank Mates: Due to their docile temperament, Neon Tetras coexist harmoniously with other peaceful fish species like other tetras, rasboras, gouramis, and small bottom dwellers like Corydoras catfish.

Aggression: Known for their tranquility, Neon Tetras are non-aggressive and prefer the company of their own kind or other peaceful species. They flourish in schools of six or more.

Experience Level: Beginner to intermediate aquarists can comfortably care for Neon Tetras given their hardiness and adaptability. They are an excellent choice for those new to the hobby.

Water Parameters: Neon Tetras thrive in soft, slightly acidic water with temperatures between 72-78°F (22-26°C), a pH range of 6.0-7.0, and low to moderate lighting. Regular water changes and a well-maintained tank are crucial for their well-being.
